Sciatica? I call it ‘Commuter Booty.’ The right glute’s nagging like a buggar; feels on-fire; gradually, the pain may seem to shoot down the leg. It makes for a generally miserable situation. But … some seasoned visitors have taught me they schedule a massage for arrival; – even before check-in. Fringe Benefit: refreshes the stress-hurry-worry Energy. Instead of all systems on ‘GO’, You can GO RELAX by the beach!
SOME TIPS: When driving, scoot your Bum all the way back in the seat. Shoot for the natural curves of an up-right body. That helps keep the backside & under thighs lengthened. Line the right hip up with the accelerator pedal. Keep your knee in alignment, not out to the side. You can even roll-up a towel and tuck it under the right side (I do.) Drive slower. Don’t drive jacked-up on caffeine. The body is one unit… hyper/anxiety leads to tight muscles/misery and vice-versa. Walk on the beach to loosen hips, feet, back. Hit the Hot Tub > Stretch. Ice can help if it’s really on fire. Get enough sleep/recovery. Get a massage sooner-than-later. The earlier you feel better, the more you’ll enjoy vacation!!!
